4pm on Sunday 19th August – Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Venue 138 – Number 134 Royal Terrace
Hello all – this looks like a nice gig from folk clubber and excellent muso Brian Miller!
I’ll let Brian tell you all about it … see you there!
Brian speaking …
Hi friends, I promise not to send you any other emails on this theme, this is a one–off notice of an Edinburgh fringe gig I am involved in with Ian Young – we got the idea to do this after performing at a school reunion.
It is at the acoustic music centre in Embra at 4pm on Sunday 19th August –see address on poster. Tickets are going quite well so don’t delay if you are interested
Here is the fringe website description of our show Brian Miller and Ian Young- Wayfarin’ Strangers.
‘Enjoy folk songs mostly from Scotland and the Americas, with themes of travel, survival and philosophical reflection on what life throws at us. You’ll hear strong singing with dazzling guitar, banjo, mandolin and harmonica playing. Bring your own voice to enhance the experience. Brian and Ian originally met in Rutherglen Academy’s renowned Ballads Club; since then they’ve separately recorded with such well-known bands as The Laggan, The Occasionals, The Singing Kettle, The Ian Davison Group and Na H’eilthireach and have performed at Celtic Connections.’
The attached poster has ticket info, as has the webpage
Because it is a Sunday there is free car parking opposite the venue.
Thanks for considering this; hope you are all well and hope to see some of you there! And feel free to share to anyone you think might be interested.
